alternator problem??
in my 95 talon tsi the dash lights flicker on and off like the oil, battery, coolent lights. i alson know that my headlights dim and the heater slows down when i let of the gas. i checked the alternator by starting the car and taking the neg. terminal off the battery and the car didnt stall. so the alternator still works. i know that most cars have a regulator that tells the alternator how much juice to pump out. is there one on these cars? and if so where? and is there a way to check it?
thanks tyler |

Re: alternator problem??
Your alternator might still be bad. You really need to have a load test done on the charging system. Autozone/Advanced will do these test for free. Might want to try that.

Re: alternator problem??
On newer alternators, most have the voltage regulators built in.....
