Balljoint Prices

98 LT, 4wd. Just got done pricing some balljoints, (upper/lower front end). Can't figure out why the big difference, from $9 to over $50 for one. Any recommendations of brand to get/avoid?

I prefer Moog. Somehow, maybe it is psychological but $9 for a ball joint makes me wonder how good the steel is.

Yea, Moog is the way to go.

You sure your balljoints are shot?

Have you ever had them greased?

TRW or Moog, both good. Just pay for the higher priced version because you will get the lifetime warranty vs just the 2 year...

Do you get any clunking at all in your front end?

Re: Balljoint Prices

Bad ball joints don't always cause clunking. Actually most times they cause bad tire wear.

Fairly new tires, showing some minor outer wear. Went in for rotate/balance alignment, mech showed me the play in the lowers.
