broken bov?

i have a hks ssq, and a few weeks ago, i was in 4th gear and accelerated a bit, hit like 10psi and heared BOOM and had no throttle....came to a stop and the car stalled....found out that my bov blew off the UICP somehow and smacked the hood (and i made sure prior to that, that it was definitely seated and tightened)...anyway, i noticed tonight when i took my bov off, and move it from side to side, there is a small rattle in it...like if i move it to one side, it sounds like something is hitting something, and so on....my bov still works, but i noticed that when i'm boosting low, i have the same bov sound and not the different sound i had before. before when i boosted low and let off the throttle, it made a different sound than a high boost...could the second valve in this thing be bad? also, is it fixable? can you take these things apart and work on them?

thanks for the help

Re: broken bov?

What you described would be my guess as well...I know I've seen a site somewhere, where they took one apart...lemme do some searching.

Re: broken bov?

ok i took the bov back off to take a closer look....the clicking i was explaing was the little valve you can see when you look up through the bottom of the bov...the rod is purple and on it, is a little black thing that moves back and forth making the click sound....is this normal?
