spark plug wire sequence

Does anyone know the spark plug sequence on a 97 Mazda Protege LX? mine is 1234 or its hooked up that way but I think it may be wrong? any help please would be good!!

yeah i believe so but my friend said something about how it could be wired up or something like either its 1234 or like 4231 or something like that

on the coil just match up the # on the wire with the # on the coil. then teh wires will on l reach so far, plug them where they fit.

ohhh ok... duhhhh hahah. I havent' even noticed that. I've been trying to rule out a starting problem that I've been having and we may think its the distributor because the spark plug wires are brand new and they are already arcing and corroding on the park on the distributor cap, but my car takes forever to crank when it is cold, it'll turn over but it just won't fire, so maybe it has something to do with that. Thank you!!!
