INTEGRA BITES THE DUST! (yellow rice)

damm kills are comming in.

i was on francis lewis, an old street racing spot that got shut down, i just finisht dropping my boy off at a local h.s there (all grls h.s. ) so im driving the speed limit and i let off under 5psi and my ssqv sounds, next thing i look in my rear view i see a 93 integra comming up quick towards the right, it was yellow c/f hood, and black rims,, sounds like lunch to me so i wait till he gets to my rear bumper, i drop it into 2nd hit boost 11psi and leave him by a car and let off and do it again.. so he follows me down to the major street, by now im driving off boost, so i turn onto hilside, he comes up hard and close to my bumper i hear his intake sounding hard, btw he has exhaust also, so i the first car at a light hes behind me i take off kinda hard, so we are at 20 he decides to cut around me. i wait for him to get even to me and i punch it in 2nd.. 11psi, shift it d(3rd) by now i was about 3 cars ahead of him and i hear his intake screeming in the distance, im up to about 60-65 now, thats way to fast for public street at 4 in the afternoon, so i shut down better safe then sorrie.. he gets the idea when he see my hits the breaks and he gains quickly on me..

suprizeingly he doesnt be a ass, i give him the thumbs up and he does the same.. i catch him up at the next light, i ask him what he has, his mods: ls, inake, dc headres, 2.5" cat back, msd, fuel pump, fpr, and stage 3 clutch and flywheel, well i dont know about the msd but his rear bumper was black where his exahsut is so he was running rich.. im guessing he had quite a few mods.. o0o well it was a good lunch..

Re: INTEGRA BITES THE DUST! (yellow rice)

Sounds like you have quite the car there. But of course, the LS Integras aren't too special, can whoop me, but still, with those mods. I would guess he has about 175+ HP. Somewhat equivalent to a GSR. Maybe stronger. But I could be wrong. Either way, good kill. Nice that he was a pretty cool guy. Late...

Good kill. I hate yellow integras! 95% of them stand out for no reason. Do you know which one it was?

I would never get a yellow car unless it was an exotic. Maybe a Corvette or an Evo, but that's it. I think it looks as bad as that rice lime green color. Why would you need that type of attention for a slow car?

Re: INTEGRA BITES THE DUST! (yellow rice)

that car is making MAYBE 125 whp...no where near 175 hp wheel or crank.

BTW have you ever hit the track yet with your probe? there were 3 turbo gt probes the track sunday I dont know what they had done...the one had a FMIC and they all had exhaust not sure what else...but the quickest one was like 15.2's just wondering what kind of times you think your lookin at.

Re: Re: INTEGRA BITES THE DUST! (yellow rice)

yea 15.2 seems right for stock turbo and about stock boost with intake and exhasut.. no i havent gone to the track, but ill be happy with a 14.8, most probes on probetalk, with similar mods are able to do hi 14.. i seen one luck guy doing hi 14's with just a cone filter and a cat back.. he got a freak probe or something.. hopefull soon ill go to the track..
the car has been constantly giving problems one after the other for a good 3 months now.. so i didnt want to push it.. but it seems fine so far almost a whole month w/o have to fix anything thats a good feeling.. soon tho ill the real e/t's

Just out of curiosity, what do you know about the 93 LS Integra's. Well, I kinda cheated and googled it, but according to most reviews I read. It has 140 bhp. And including the mods that the kid had done, I would assume that he had that much HP. Also, judging from turbo2nr's story and how closely the guy stayed with him, that is what gave me the impression that the kid had the power to keep with him. And of course, I didn't specify as to what kind of HP he had (bhp, whp, or crank) sorry. But that is what gave me the assumption of the kid having 175 HP (I should say bhp). Sorry, but I'm sure you can prove me wrong. Late...

EDIT: the kid really didn't keep up with, nor had the power too, but still, you know what I meant. I hope...

Re: INTEGRA BITES THE DUST! (yellow rice)

What do I know about LS's? hmm...I have a b18a/b hybrid LS you could say, my buddy has a LS in his 89 hatch that I work on all the time. My other buddy has a 94 integra LS Turbo that I help with. Im not completely clueless about them.

I would say a 11+ year old motor with decent compression numbers and bolt on's would put out around 125-130whp give or take a few here or there. fuel pump fpr probably arent helping him. msd...big whoop, Who even knows if it ran good if he was runnin rich or maybe his rings were done?

It was a high high 15- low-mid 16 second car at best.

Re: INTEGRA BITES THE DUST! (yellow rice)

Alright...just thought with those mods he might've had more horsepower. To tell you the truth, I'm not too much of an Acura guy. But thanks for the info. late...
