i just purchased a 91 integra GS. my sending limit is going to be 10,000 including exterior options such as rims and tints. that's the only exterior i want to do. but as far as the engine goes i've done a lot of reading and i think the best way to go would be to get a b16a head (vtec) and mount it on my b18a LS block.
what is GEN2 Pro series b18a? and ca ni bore my b18a block to 85mm? 1. supercharger 2. underdrive pulleys 3. 2.5 inch exaust 4. stage 3 clutch 5. new tranny? which one? 6. inner cooler? air to air? air to water? 7. do supercharges need blow off valves or boost controllers? i will have a laptop mounted in the trunk with a 7 inch touch screen on the dash and i was hoping to run all my controls threw that. i wish to record my trips. please input on any part of this if not all of it. i have a lot of money to spend and would like to jack this car up. i don't really want to do a new engine unless you think it will be cheaper but my ideal car is high ass torque and the horsepower comes after. |

If you don't mind me asking why did you buy a car that is worth about $2-3K and are willing to dumb $10K into it? I mean with a budget like that why not get something better or newer etc? Just curious.

rims and tires= $700
tints= $125-150 (you might want to drop the car to make it look good) Springs and shocks= $450 so about $1300 on looks leave n u $8700 for the engine: and u cant bore ur LS block to 85mm on stock sleeves. i need to get ur block sleeved to that bore. golden eagle sleeves will be good. golden eagle sleeved Block= $1500 forget about supercharge n, go staright for TURBO Full Turbo Kit (a good one)= $3500-4000 if u dont want to do internals, then u should only be pushing 8-10 PSI internals (rods and pistons) will cost u around $800 B16 head $500 LS/VTEC conversion parts $200 - 250 custom exhaust done at a muffler shop: $200 B16 cable tranny $400 plus to get all these parts installed is gonna cost u ALOT of money if u dont do it urself. forget about them faggot ass underdrive pulleys

you say turbo...
i read that when vtec kicks in at around "5000"rpms the turbo does "nothing". this is why i'm leaning towards supercharger. the turbo doesn't kick in til about 3000? (am i off oon that?) and it's only doing work for a few seconds. with the supercharge wont it take imidiate action and get me to vtec much faster? i don't need a turbo to get me up around 8000, the vtec does that. please tell me your thoughts on that. |

nah man, dont know where ur getting ur info from. turbo works more at higher rpms and it does "something" after 5000 rpms. turbo is the better way to go. it's more effecient than a supercharger and will make more power than one too.
it all depends on what kinda turbo u get. a larger turbo will take a longer time to spool up and make boost. a smaller turbo can start making boost at 2000 rpms. ur right about the supercharger, there's no lag. a supercharged car may have a turbo car down low, but a turbo car will dominate on top. TURBO > Supercharger
