wont start when hot
i drive my 86 xj around the stop and go into a store or something. when i come out the engine will turn over but wont start. i thought it might be a gas problem so i rebuilt me TBI, and put a new EGR valve in. it was good for about 2 days, but now it is doing it agin. so people think it might be the neutral safety switch, and i'm thinking about cleaning that this weekend. but could there be any thing else that could be the problem?

If it were the nss switch it wouldn't crank. Could be a coil breaking down from heat. Should have fuel pump pressure check with gauge, should be about 39 lbs.at idle, and hold for 1hr. dale

It means the coil may be getting weak when hot and not making as hot of a spark or weaker spark. spark at all times should be blueish white and able to jump a gap of 3/4- 1 inch gap. dale
