need help

i got a 96 integra se and i the code from the check engine light refering to misfiring cylinders 1 and 2. i changed the spark plug and wires, distributor rotor and cap, air and fuel filter and did an engine flush. the two cylinders are still misfiring...the mechanics i went to didnt know what else to do...anyone know what else could be wrong? thanks

did you reset the ecu ? check timing

yea my mechanic already reset the ecu. just curious..whats timing? (not the timing belt right?) i dont know much about cars but i'm learning along the way

check dist timing, then line the crank to tdc and see if the cam is at tdc too, thats how you make sure its timing is good
