Big help needed

My 92 Eclipse starts right up. Runs about 4-5 sceonds and then I hear a "click" and the car shuts off. Restarts fine, 4-5 seconds later "click" and same thing. I was told that it is the fuel relay switch. No one can tell me exactly where this switch is. One person said they think behind the glove box and that the fuse will have a part number written on it. I am finding alot of stuff behind my dash/glove box and none of them have a part number on them. Can anyone help me in determining where this really is? and does this sound like the problem is the fuel relay switch?

Re: Big help needed

The Fuel Pump Relay is located near the Brake Fluid Reservoir in the engine bay. There should be (3) relays next to each other. The Fuel Punp Relay is the relay closest to the Brake Fluid Reservoir.

Talking

The click sound is positively coming from somewhere by the dash. It does sound like an electric click. Before this when I would start the car for the first time of the day the idle would be high and then once driving, at a stop the engine would rev up and back down. Bouncing like. But would stop once the car warmed up. We got a diagram of the wires that are behind the dash but i have 3 fuse type looking round things back there and not sure which one it is because none have any writing on them. You ppl are wonderful for all and any of your help.

Re: Big help needed

Check the ECU. Pull it, if it smells like fish (or if you recognize the smell of burnt electronics) it is probably toast.
