Re: Tail Lights

you can buy little round purple inserts that you can put in the stock plastic lens.. ( you have to cut your lens to put them in) Its looks good it also makes you tailights brighter.. Try LMCtruck.com

Re: Tail Lights

POR_15 has a produce that's really designed to paint over chrome, and you can see right through it. They claim that it can be used to make stained glass windows, and if it's even 1/2 as good as it appears to be in their catologe it's incredible, and just what you want.

Their web site is http://www.por15.com/default.asp

The product name is Color Chrome
a 1/2 pint is $34.88 and there is probably enough to cover both tail lights, and possibly both bumpers (20 sq ft)

I've used several of their products before, and they seem to be the best.

If you trty this let us all know how it turnes out, and I'm sure that you'll be pleased

Re: Tail Lights

watch it with stuff like that, ive never used the stuff or even heard of it for that matter, but theres a reason theat krylon came out witha special plastic paint. paint usually doesnt stick to plastic and if this stuff is no different then the tale lights will look good,, something will barly hit them and it will chip paint away (like a car wash)

Re: Tail Lights

If is sticks to chrome, and glass without a problem it'll stick to a tail light without a problem. And if they don't believe that it'll work they will tell you. Plus they guarantee all their products, or your money back (unlike those we'll exchange it for you companies)

POR-15 products are designed for automotive use, unlike krylon products

And Spyewaker that's a good idea with the taillights, I'm going to do the same thing on my hotrod, if I'm legally allowed to.

Oh you might want to look into the laws where you live, I know several places where Neon isn't allowed, so they'd probably frown at the taillights
