1987 Jeep Cherokee Electrical Problem

I have a '87 Jeep Cherokee 4.0 4WD standard, the original altenator went out at 133k miles and I replaced it but now the amps will not stay high enough to run the system and cooling fan. Does anyone have any ideas? Also I replaced the injector seals and now can't get them all resealed to stop the fuel leaks.

Re: 1987 Jeep Cherokee Electrical Problem

Before you lost the other alternator, was it puting out enough juice? It almost sounds like you have a heavy load out there in your system somewhere dragging your alternator down. No blown fuses or burned wires anywhere?

On your o-ring problem, I've used a little bit of Power Punch smeared on the o-ring to help it slide and seat properly...

I have checked the entire system and have not located ay blown fuses or burned/bare wires to cause a short.
