Our insurance company is brilliant (only open to doctors, dentists and more recently lawyers). Whenever anything has happened to any of our cars, we always get to choose the repairer of our choice and get told to go ahead with the repairs and they will send payment to the repairer when finished.

When my CD player got stolen from my old car they just said to take it to Driving Sound where I bought it from, get them to replace it and they would sort out the payment to Driving Sound. They’re totally awesome!!!!!

Ive never had to file a clame, but im young so I guess thats why I get burned.

$1947.11 (Just paid it yesterday, and now im hurtin for cash)

When I went to get insurance on my 1st car (a couple yrs back), it was basically like :

Agent: So you want insurance son?

Me: Yes, I would since I just got my license and bought my first car and saftied it.

Agent: What kinda car is it son?

Me: 91 Mazda 323 1.6 N/A w/Auto

Agent: So its a sports car then?

Me: I wouldn't say so, in my opinion.

Agent: Well sonny, I think we can help you.

Me: Well, how much is it gonna cost?

Agent: How much do you have?

Thats practically how they treated me. They would probably threw a fit if I ever mentioned that I did a tranny and engine swap 7 months later. I paid ~$2500 for that insurance on the Mazda. The sad thing is that I purchased that car for $2000. The insurance was worth more than the car itself, and all I had was PL and PD. When I bought my Caprice last spring, they treated me a bit more like an adult, and I have a bit of driving experiance now, but it's still WAY too expensive. I feel like punching someone there, whenever I go there to pay a bill, or when I wanted a quote on a 93 Mustang. It makes me so bloody mad that its so expensive.

Its no wonder I can never afford to spend hardly anything on mods.

I can't complain. I only pay $89.00 per month for full coverage on the LeBaron. I love it.

Don't forget that for what I paid for my cars, you could spend about the same to fill the Primera with premium gas.

I'm with AMI,full no claims,$250 excess, full cover including glass.Doubt if I'd see much back if either car got written off,but couldn't afford to hit a BMW if I didn't have any cover.

my insurance company finally worked out (after 1 whole year) that they had been overcharging me for the past year by $300 odd dollars
when I took out the insurance I told then I thought it was too high but got it anyway to keep my clean insurance record.

They dropped it down to about $450 per year but still with a $600 excess until July (over 25 )
