abs problems

hey guys im new tothis forum but i have a problem with my 2001 Xtreme 2.2L, in the mornings or when it rains my abs will kick on right before a stop no matter how fast im going and the abs liight will go on and stay on...if its raining or snowing it will stay on til a dry day but if its dry itll eventually go off and every thing is fine. i also notice thelight will go on if you drive in like dirt or gravel but it wont make any noises at stops

if you ccan help that would be great

The first thing I would check would be the connections on the front sensors...just trace the wires from the sensors to the connection, I think mounted on the frame rail, unplug there and make sure they are clean and dry, I use dielectric grease to seal them, reconnect and hopefully that does it...

Re: abs problems

your worst case is you have broken wheel sencors, those are like $200 a pop plus install if you dont do it but like Fractured1 said check connections first and at least put vascolien on the connection to seal it, could also be a crimped break line because of the vinal lines they use, if thats the case just replace with another vinal seince you drive in the winter, steel ones will rust out and thats bad
