I have 1991 Cherokee Ltd.
It was stolen and recovered yesterday. The thief broke the cover of the left side of the steering column (made of thin plastic), exposing the ignition switch assembly and thus bypassing the key. Also he (or she) menage to damage somehow the factory built-in alarm and it is not working anymore. I can't find any good drawings and diagrams in the Haynes manual I have. Please suggest what manual to seek or help with some pictures/electrical diagrams. Thank you. |

Re: Cherokee damaged by thief.
don't know if this will help you, you could try the 93 factory shop manual.

Re: Cherokee damaged by thief.
Personally, I would look into a quality alarm versus trying to get the OEM one to work. It didn't work too well so far.
I'd double check ALL fuses.

Thanks for your input.
The thing is that my jeep is too old and I don't want to invest much in it. On the other end it just runs perfectly (400 000 km.)! and looks in great shape. I just cannot let it go!
