Lightbulb trunk lock

I removed the rod from the trunk lock, that way it cant be picked, or if somebody pounds it in with a screwdriver they still cant pull the rod to open the latch. It was pretty simple, and the trunk release as well as the keyless trunk popper both still work. Inside the trunk lid behind the lock theres that black plastic thing which covers it, and if you pull that off it reveals the rod which is connected to the lock. it goes through a small black plastic piece, and bends so it cant slide out. I just broke that piece off, then unscrewed the 3 bolts that hold the latch in, pulled it down so the rod came all the way through, and slid it out of the piece it was hooked in, and Voila.... now even if you have they key you cant open my trunk. I have never owned the key to my trunk so it has only just been another possible way to get in there for a burgalur. Plus I re-located my trunk release button in a super duper hidden spot. I cut and extended the wires to it and it put it where nobody will find it. Sometimes I cant even find it lol. Basically, theres no way anybodys getting in my trunk. I still wish I had the key though so I could lock the trunk release. oh well.
