Re: more power

see that pretty link about that says peformance... click that... top of that page will have a sticky... how to make your car go faster... read it and follow those... enough said here... also consult the new forum rules before posting again.

Re: more power

Is it a 2.2L TBI model (Throttle-Body-Injected, with a round air filter)? Then you're right, there are no tips in the sticky (that's what I have). Sorry these guys were so blunt with you, but not much can be done with that engine.

If so:
-A new intake (probably custom) with a performance air filter (K&N or sump'n).
-New exhaust with a higher flowing Cat and Muffler (check your local shops for what they have).
-Better Plugs and wires (I switched to Bosch Plat +2s)
-Clean the Throttle Body Intake (It collects dirt and carbon easily). Get some spray cleaner from the local car store, just put a rag in there to keep it from draining into the engine.

Check out this site: http://www.cfm-tech.com/
It's mainly for trucks, but some stuff fits our models.

If you want to get into Nitro or turbos then you're looking at a lot of work (a compatable computer which is very hard to find, performance fuel pump, performance injector, custom intake for a turbo/supercharger... the list goes on)

If this isn't what you're looking for then I'm sorry, maybe somebody else could use these tips, they worked for me. Good luck.

Re: more power

I want to correct myself before anyone else does. The "Make your car go faster"sticky does have a section on boring Throttle bodys, and mixing/matching. I haven't tried that and probably won't. With my luck I'd break something while spending a lot of money in the process, but it's there.
