Chevy Truck VS Me

Hey, it's the newbie again. Here's what happened:

I'm drivin home down a stretch of freeway, when this Chevy truck
comes next to me. Looks like a '97 or so silverado (1500 is that right?)
and the sucker is pacin my Bonneville. I slow a bit for the curve that's
ahead, the one that takes me to my exit, and this truck flicks on his blinker and tries to move over, INTO ME!!!

I laid on the horn, and he moved back over, but then he started to pull away thinkin he can cut me off to make the same exit. I floored and
was pacing him in 0.00003 seconds (you get the idea) and actually
tried to race me to the opening, well needless to say he got his ass wiped but that thing could really move!

What kind of plants does Chevy put into it's trucks these days? I'd heard they're fast but not that fast! I've got a performance sedan for Pete sack and the damn thing still fought hard!!

Anyone have any thoughts as to why?

Thanks, catcha later.

depending on what is done... they are really quick at hwy speeds, especially when they downshift... lotsa down low tq compared to your s/c car...

you would beat him topend, b/c his speed limiter would kick in at 100mph...
