98 4x4 problem
I just bought a 1998 Ranger 4.0 4X4 5 spd. with auto hubs. While changing the front brake pads, I noticed that when I spin the wheel everything back to the transfer case turns. The dash control is in 2H. Should the wheel spin freely if it's not in 4WD? Any suggestions? Thanks, Frank

Re: 98 4x4 problem
I would say this is normal. You are spinning the cv joint (driveshaft) If you have electronic 4 wheel on the fly. If you have to manually unlock the hubs I'm not positive but it should not be a problm eather. I hope this helps!
