2000 Tahoe

lf front sounds like metal to metal...thought it might be brakes, but pulled wheel off, removed caliper & still hear it when i spin the wheel assembly. Chevy says if it's wheel cylinder i have to replace the whole hub asmbly, $350 + about $200 labor. ridiculous. brake pad & rotor look great (76k miles) so it ain't brakes. anything else that could cause that scraping squeak? if it's cylinder, any suggestions on replacing it more economically? O'Reilly's said it'll be another yr before they carry them
