Question Distributor Help

Can someone give me a web site that has a nice complete installation guide for an OBD1 distributor for a B16A. Mine's crapping out and I'm about to do it myself but I don't want to f things up. Thanks.

Re: Distributor Help

the b16 manual is online somewhere to download (for free) but i can't find the link at the moment. so here is the next best thing....when taking the dizzy on and off it's the same process as the d series. so here is the manual page for the d

it's 3 bolts to get it off. pay attention to the order the spark plugs are in. make sure the dizzy is seated properly before you tighten down and fire the car up. if the dizzy isn't seated properly it will bust the "grooves" on your cam...and you'll have to replace your cam

take your time and you'll be fine. once you get it done you'll see it's not as scary as it seemed before you tried it.

Re: Distributor Help

its very easy. the entire on and off should be no more than 10mins, maybe 20 for a first timer. just remember when you pull the dizzy out, to not turn it, that way you can line the new one up correctly without throwing the timing off.
