brightest headlight bulbs avaliable?

Hi all, I know there are 2 threads right not about the projector headlights, but I don't really want to put my question in there, so I'm sorry if I started an extra thread.

My question is, what bulbs are you guys using and what are you experiences? I want something that will put out more light than the OEM ones on the car. I know about the Silverstars, but depending on who you talk to, you get mixed reactions about them. I haven't found a lot of options for 9006 size bulbs, its either the silverstars or cheapy ebay ricy type of bulbs. Can I use something like H4 bulbs?(because there are a lot more choices out there for H4s) Will it plug into our stock harness? I don't care for the ricy bluish look, but short of getting a HID retrofit(which I don't have money for right now) what can I use to get more light on the road?
Also, for people with projectors on your car, how do you like them? Hows the light pattern? Does it actually cast more light down the road?
Thanks.

ok,i have had alot of the cheap ones in my car,i hated silverstars when i took a few steps back from looking into my lights they looked almost stock,so the ones i loved were ebay ones that were called euro designs plasma blue 9006 they look nice, a little blue but your car those bulbs definetly look different from stock, nice bulbs

Do they put more light than stock? Like I said, I don't really care if it has the blue look or not, most of the cheap ones have a blue film on the bulb that make the light look blue, but actually put out less light. I really want the most light possible, cause I just did a 10 hour drive this past weekend, and I would of liked more light to reduce my fatigness. Anyone have any experience with PIAA Xtreme Whit Plus? Suppostly they put out light in 4000k range, that would be nice to have.

Re: brightest headlight bulbs avaliable?

more light in the wrong range will actually increase fatigue. let me explain what i mean. purple/blue has the most glare then white then yellow. the more glare the faster your eyes get tired. your car actaully looks like it already has projectors. i cant speak from personal experience but from what ive read the silverstars are the best choice. some people have luck with ebay bulbs other times they burn through 2 or 3 sets in a few months and then either go back to stock or get silverstars.

I know that blue/purple color bulbs increase fatigue, thats why I said I don't care for the blue ricy bulbs from ebay. That is also why I'm asking for suggestion for bulbs that put out more light instead of light bulbs with color.
My car doesn't have projectors, just the stock lights. I actually like the way our stock headlights look, I love how the light is already blacked out and stuff.
What I was thinking is getting the brightest bulb possible for the headlights and then getting some yellow fogs. I was thinking about PIAA Xtreme Whit Plus and some PIAA Ion yellows for the fogs. Anyone have any of these setup on their car, or anyother recommandations?

I'm in college, so in about 3 weeks I'm gonna have to make the 10 hour trip for home again, so I would like to get something before that.

Re: brightest headlight bulbs avaliable?

i have piaa head lights and there are really bright white, i often get flashed because of that as for the fog lights they are almost useless unless you are really short, i can't even tell mine are on unless i sit up and turn them off and on just to see where the range is. As for the euro dezign lights (they suck i had them and went through 2 sets) im just going to do the hid conversion. they make kits already set up for are cars.

How much for the HIDs for our cars, and where can you get them? Do you have a link for them? Thanks.

12) In 2002 the DOT banned the sale of HID lights, due to the fact that "light is scattered", "glares affected other drivers", "were improperly focused." HID lights should be used for off-road and show purposes only. The lights should and have to be properly aligned, please look in your manual, it should be listed under leveling or adjusting
thats from that website....unless your car is for show, and your driving it... can't you get a ticket or somthin?

Yea, I'm thinking that I'm just gonna get a set of PIAAs from ebay and see how bright they are.
