Windshield washer clog

2001 Taurus.

Driver's side washer will not squirt. I assume a clog since the passenger side works fine. Any experience with clogs in the line?

Thanks!

You may want to check the washer fluid lines/hoses. It could potentially be a clog, but I'm experiencing a similar issue right now. The line which runs from my fluid resevoir to the nozzles is dry-rotted and cracked. It could be that your lines are also cracked, but not bad enough to where no fluid makes it to the nozzles at all. Which would explain why only the passenger side nozzle is working since the line runs to this nozzle first. Just an idea. Hope I was of some assistance.

Re: Windshield washer clog

There is a little pump that's attached to the resevoir that pumps the fluid through both hoses. It's pretty easy to replace once you get to the resevoir. However, the resevoir is located between the passenger wheel well on the front side. You have to jack the car up, remove some plastic molding and there it is. The little pump can get filled with gunk and is easily cleaned but getting to the resevoir is the hard part. I bought a Chilton manual and the directions are in there on how to remove the tank. Good Luck!!!

Try sticking a pin in the nozzle. It may just be gunked up.
