04 sedona issues

Can anybody tell me please if they had the same issues?
My van has under 10 k miles on it . It has been in the shop 6 times so far for the same issues. 1) when the ac or the heat is used there is a smell like an animal has died in the van. they replaced the entire ac and heater unit but the smell is still there. 2) The rotors in my antilock brake system warp every other month. They have changed out the rotors 3 times. The last time tho I noticed that they did not change the pads along with the rotors. I know that is not normal but why are they warping so often?

Help ! this is costing me a small fortune .

I didn't have the anti-lock brakes in my 2003 Sedona LX but I had a similar warping problem. By the time my front rotors warped it was too late for it to be covered by the warranty. (no warranty after 24,000 miles for rotors)

I discovered that is was because my rear brakes weren't adjusted properly. Kia didn't tell me this either time that I was in their shop getting the brakes fixed. A friend of mine told me to check that. I told them and they fixed the problem. (For $300) The rotors are $90 each to replace.

Before I knew what was going on I noticed that there was a lot of heat from the front wheel wells everytime I would park my car. I asked Kia about this and they dismissed it by saying that it's normal. A side effect of all this heat was that I had to buy a total of 4 new lug bolts ($13 each) They would break off when some one tried to remove them. Kia never assumed responsibility for this and I had to pay for all of the parts myself.

I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with 187,000 miles on it and I have paid much less money for parts on it than I have on my brand-new Kia mini-van.
