timing of a 96 geo metro 1.0 liter

ok, I know where to jump the pins on the connector, however my hood does not have the setting sticker on it, hood was replaced. so I does not have the timing set point on it, can any one help me with this
it is a 96 1.0 lite
5 speed manual transmission

Re: timing of a 96 geo metro 1.0 liter

My 98 1.0 5 speed says 5' before TDC is the timing point. Also, be sure to short the loose connector found by the driver's side strut tower to disable the electronic timing advance. It's pins C and D on the 4 pin connector, and pins D and E on the 6 pin, but you may want to search through archives to double check that.
