Tamiya Mini Cooper Models

Im gonna get a Tamiya Mini, and i will probaby put a motor in it. i want a street track car, with a roll cage and racing seat. can anyone who has built these kits tell me if they have full interiors or other stuff, like wheels. The three kits im deciding between are the Morris Mini Cooper Racing, the Morris Mini Cooper Rally and the Stock Morris Mini Cooper.

Basically i wanna know if the 2 rally kits have roll cages and what kind of wheels they have.

I have both kits and my advice would be to get the racing version (the green one) the problem with the rally version is the tires, they have deep threads and wouldn't look appropriate on a track racing mini.

In both kits you get 2 sets of rims, the regular ones you'd find in the stock version of the mini plus another set of racing rims. The 2 kits also have roll cage, racing steering and seat (60's type mind you).

There's also some optional carburator and air filters included. All tamiya mini kits have complete engine detail with opening hood and detailed interior. It's a really fun kit.

I did this kit. Quite Fun

Full engine. the interior is quite basic (but I'm sure it is in real)

A pick-up would be cool please do it and i think it would be cool to put rear facing bucket seats in the back like a Subaru Brat had in the early 80's!!!

Go with the racing version. You not only get the basic Dunlops? but you also get the Mini Lites. Use the basic 60's roll bar and make your own full cage. Thats what I did.

You cant see it very well but its an 8 point cage. I just used some Plastruct tubing that was the same size.

You can get a Mini Pickup from ScaleKraft. It does require you to lengthen the floorpan of a mini cooper chasis. I built one about 2 years ago. ScaleKraft also has the mini van, Mini "woody" Traveller, the broadspeed "fastback" version, the mini sprint "chooped top", and the riley elf.
Can you tell, im a mini fanatic. I own and restore the real mini coopers, so if you need any ref. pics let me know.
