Wiper problem

I am having the most annoying problem with my wipers......after only a few mins they chatter and leave a black residue at the end of their sweep. I have tried everything - brand new GM wiper blades, using a windshield stripper/cleaner, RainX, etc. No matter what this problem comes back.

Any ideas ????

Re: Wiper problem

Nature of the beast I'm thinking. Took ours on a long vacation drive, windshield had a layer of black rubber after a couple hours of rain. Those big blades on that complex curved windshield is a tough situation I guess. Wonder if some silicone based blades would be an improvement?

Re: Wiper problem

Never had a problem with a set of Anco's or Bosch Premiums on mine. We get a fair amount of rain, drizzle and road-grit-mixed-with-water sloppy stuff spraying where I live year-round. Every 3 months, use a small amount og Bon Ami powder on a soft rag with plenty of water to strip the windshield down to just being glass. It helps.
