Unhappy Electrical Problems Maybe?

hey guys i'm new here maybe someone can help me. My car just started this a couple of days ago when u are sitting still sometimes the speedometer shoots to 20mph and i'm not moving the idle needle goes up to but the car is not actually idling that high, when i'm driving sometimes it will say i'm doing 30mph over what i'm actually doing and the idle needle bounces around its really screwy and the ac seems to aggervate it, it doesn't do it all the time but it does most of the time, i'm totally baffled please someone give me their input i would really appreciate it, Thanks

Re: Electrical Problems Maybe?

you've got a short in your wiring somewhere.. you've got a broken wire, loose connection, bad ground etc etc.. and its playin games with your gauges..
I think the reason no body replied to your post right away is because electrical problems can be impossible to diagnose over the computer.. you've got literally miles of wiring in your car and just about any one of them could cause your problems, it also could be something really simple..
did you change anything before it started? parts, alarm, stereo, etc? has it affected the way the car runs at all? does it miss? idle rough?
my first guess is a short in the ignition system somewhere.. A bad or loose plug wire maybe? have you checked all your fuses?
