Suv Comparison
Hey I'm looking to find an SUV that has decent gas mileage and is also a fun ride...I've looked at Yukon/Tahoes, Jeep Grand Cheerokees, and Ford Explorers. Which do you think would be my best choice overall...or any other ideas?

If you want a good SUV with reasonable gas milage then get a Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDi, that's if the TDi is available in the US.

I'd love to get a Touraeg, but I forgot to mention that I have about a $8,000-10,000 price range...I drive a Toyota T-100, so im used to about 15-16MPG, just wanna switch to an SUV.

Re: Suv Comparison
regular Cherokee (grand was too heavy), 4 Runner, and most Isuzus aren't too bad.

Re: Suv Comparison
the ford escape now comes in hybrid form so if you're looking for an SUV with "good" gas mileage, that'd be your best option. although i wouldn't brag to your friends about it.
![]() forget about any full size SUV like the yukon if you want good gas mileage. you should look into compacts like the escape, cr-v or tribute. even mid-size ones like explorers or blazers can get rather poor mileage. |
