I recently bought an 05' maxima (new) About a day later while accelerating to high speeds (about 90mph) the car begins to shake very badly (the entire car, especially the front wheels and stering wheel). The weird thing is that after a couple of hours of driving the shaking (vibrating) will happen at slower speeds (75-80mph). The longer I drove it the more shaking at lower speeds. So, I took it to the dealer and they did a high speed balance, which did not resolve the problem. They have no idea what it could be and they refuse to replicate the problem because it means they would have to drive at unsafe speeds. Can anyonce please help with any ideas of what could be the problem!
thanks. |

If your lug nuts were a little loose and you were driving on them, it could have damaged the bearing and/or hub, in which case you could have bigger problems around the corner. Tell the dealer to have a look at the bearing, since balancing wouldn't have fixed it.
