Unhappy The SE-R is gone...

Seriously.

It was having some problems, which included the fact that it still needed new axles, clutch, and was starting to leak anti-freeze from somewhere under. Not to mention the stereo hasn't worked since it was broken into last year, and the paint is horribly fading.

Don't really care about the looks part...just makes it sweeter when I beat much more expensive, and good-looking cars.

But...

...the dealership I bought the car from a couple of years ago, offered to take the car off my hands, and offered an ok car, with good payments in return.

So...

...I am now playing family-man for real, with my 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue GL.

It's really stacked, and feature-laden, but DAMN...I need to watch myself, and remember that the car is not NEARLY as nimble as my SE-R in traffic... There were other cars available, but my insurance was going to jump up 100 dollars a month...considering I was jumping from a 1992 Sentra. With the Olds, it only jumped 40 bucks.

Oh well...I have the option to trade-in this car in a year.

No more "fun" for a while.

Re: The SE-R is gone...

...And another one bites the dust. That's tough, man.

On the bright side, you have a whole year to scrounge up money and carefully plan out the next beast! Get to it.

Sorry to hear that man... I know you and I talked about that on the phone. I'm suprised it lasted that long. It was like? 2-3 months since we talked?... Go Nissan

Re: The SE-R is gone...

You should go for a used current gen SE-R for your next car...that would be tight. I almost got one, the V Spec model, but the insurance was a we bit high on it. Then someone with a turboed one flew by me, and I currsed myslef for not getting it, lol. DOnt worry, I'm sure with enough work, you can find a few cars out there to beat. I think they have a supercharger for them? Hint hint...

Re: The SE-R is gone...

Yeah, you could get a supercharger if it's a 3.8L engine. It can be the equivalent of a Grand Prix GTP, like 240 hp.

Re: The SE-R is gone...

the 3800 supercharged with the M62 Eaton blow is amazing. I wish i had the money to buy one of those. That supercharger actually has an electronically controlled wastage on it. Alot of people see high 13's with very few mods.

well considering the last thread that EVO MR would look more like an 05 STI.

So what about that carrrnuttt? An STI would be one heck of a car.

well that car might work for you and me, but carrrnuttt is a family man. He needs for doors, nice comfy ride and warranty. The STI would give him all that and still be a fun ride.
