96 JGC evaporator smells like dog poop

I have a 96' JGC and the evaporator smells like dog poop. I'am sure there is water in the HVAC housing which in turn as bacteriafied the evaporator. I understand that the way to fix this problem is to drill a hole in the housing a spray a cleaner into the evaporator and then plug the hole. my question is , is there another way to fix the problem instead of drilling holes in the housing. Alsdo, if I do go with drilling and cleaner where do you find the cleaner. GET THE POOP SMELL OUT OF OUR JEEP.

I would just take it to an AC shop.
