high idling at RED LIGHT but not stalling.... ?

okay here is the story:

i get in the car and turn on the engine, everything is normal. i start driving and about 2-3 miles down i reach a stop light. as soon as i stop ( hit the brake ) everything is normal then about 20 seconds pass and the engine is idling EXTREMELY high. the RPM is going up and down by itself to about 2000 RPM. the exhaust is a lot louder and it's sounds like it's struggles to get the air out of the 2 pipes. no smoke. no engine sounds. JUST HIGH IDLING.

also i noticed the last time it happened that the battery icon was going down too negative slowly. and the oil drip is doing down too....

my car has had MANY electrial problems so maybe it's something electrical setting off a sensor? i don't really know. so if anyone has any insight to what it might be please post.

it just feels like the car it RIGHT about to stall out. it has happened many times but NEVER stalls....

then the light turns green and i press the gas to go and it goes 100% away. it doesn't happen when i am driving, only when i am stopped. ALSO keep in mind my car is automatic. i also tried putting it in NEUTRAL and PARK and it still happens...

my battery is good and also i don't need oil... so i don't know what it could be. h e l p... =(

please post me back... thanks guys...

sounds like IAC, except that if the rpms were going up, the voltage shouldnt be dropping, im thinking its an electrical problem of some sort. pretty much impossible to diagnose over the internet, but if youd like to buy me a ticket, id be happy to come down and look at it for ya

IAC sounds right... i thought maybe the high idle setting when the A/C is on was the problem, but if it happens even when its off it could be IAC, or (just a shot in the dark) could be something w/ the EFI brain box? anyone else think it could be that?
