Idle Rpm Question

When I first start my car the RPM's are around 1500-1600. But then after about 10-30 seconds, it drops down to about 1000-1200. And it also becomes quieter as it drops, any Ideas? Is it exausht related?

yeah, its normal when its warming up, onec its been run for a few minutes and you shut it off and start it right back up it shouldnt do this, maybe for liek 1 or 2 seconds but thats it.
