problem...popping noise

i have a 92 chevy pickup and i have a popping noise coming from the rear... but it only makes the noise when i swing the truck to the left...ie turns and everything....its not my u-joint... i don't know what else it could be....any help thanks

Is it a 4x4? If so, it could be the torsion bar(s).

2wd but i has front and rear sway arms...i'm wondering if these are causing it??

Could be the rear sway bar link pins. Check them for looseness. If i remember they are really cheap to replace. Also check the sway bar bushings.

The pins connect the ends of the sway bar to the suspension. I checked my Haynes manual last night, and it does not list a sway bar for the rear. Could it have been added aftermarket? If not then I guess the book is not perfect.

Check your rear diff fluid level. Does the rear diff have posi/limited slip if so the additive in the fluid might be worn out . Very common GM problem

it might be a limited slip.........the fluid was changed 4 months ago....?? would it already be bad?

Did you change it or some one else do it and was the limited slip additive put in. Its not part of the gear oil its a add in limited slip oil

no it had a seal go bad and i didn't have time to fix it so i put it in a shop i'm not even sure it has a limited slip it just feels like it does
