Question Automatic Door Locking Feature won't turn off

I have a brand new 2004 Ram 1500 P/U which came with the automatic door locking feature turned on...i.e. the doors automatically lock when the vehicle reaches 15 km/hr. I find this to be an annoying feature and have been trying to turn it off. I've followed the manual word for word and tried several variations of the instructions without success. I will soon be taking it back to the dealership to ask but was wondering if anyone else has had problems with this. I have had Dodge vehicles before and never had a problem turning this off before.

Yeah, if the instructions in the manual don't work, time to head to the dealer and get them to turn it off.

I've heard a couple times that folks were having a time making the change.

Make sure you're turning the key to the "off" position and not the "locked" position. "off" is between "locked" & "run". Good luck.
