need help with turn signals and wipers

i have a 90 si and just had a b16a installed the car had a blown motor when i bought it and it sat for a while the wiring is a little bad but i fixed most of it concerning the turn signals. when a apply the turn signals there is no clicking indicating that the turnsignals are working and also the winshield wipers arent workin either the headlights, highbeams and parking lights all work. is it the box on top of te steering collum? i need topass inspection in ten days and i have tried a lot of stuff any help or suggestions are very welcome. by the way i was a big V8 guy until i found out how the honda is the truth. Thanks

Check all fuses first, Do your hazards lights work? If not you probably need a new flasher. If they do your wiring has issues somewhere. Wipers check the fuses again like mentioned above and pull the plug on the wiper motor and see if its getting power, if it is then the motor is out, if not its either wiring or in the switch.

Re: need help with turn signals and wipers

Dont forget there are fuses under the hood and under the dash. Flasher is the part that make the lights accually blink and thats what makes the clicking noise that goes along with it. I think its under the dash on the fuse panel, but I may be wrong. Here is a link to a Helms factory service manual that might help you out some, has wiring diagrams in it. Helms Manual

The "flasher" as you called it Silent, is the Relay that flashes the lights... Should be on the fuse panel under the dash. Or, it might be like the part Shaguar replaced to get the intermittent wipers... I'm not quite sure on these foreign cars.

Re: need help with turn signals and wipers

Technically its not a relay. I just went and looked, on the inside fuse panel its the small black box that plugs into the circut board on the top left hand corner.

Re: need help with turn signals and wipers

no its easy to change, i put my hyper flasher on in like 10 seconds. so idk if 10 seconds of work is hard or not, so yeah.

check for power going to the appropriate fuse, is theres power, check for power at the connector of the turn singals and wipers, if not do a continuity test between the connector and the fuse

Re: need help with turn signals and wipers

If that doesn't work try replacing the switches. You can find them used in the junkyard.
