will 22 inch rims fit on a 00-02 lincoln ls??

most sites say that 20 inch rims r the biggest that will fit on the LS's

im wondering if anyone has tried to fit 22 inch rims on them,,

what would be the proper fitment??how wide should i look for
or what size of tire should i look for??

what other cars have the same bolt pattern??
im not really into the car for the performance,,its more of a cruiser car for me
so if 20-22's make the car slower,,its ok,,
as long as the car with 22's doesnt look to jacked up,
i like the look of the 20's on many peoples cars,,i just want something bigger,,
thanks mike

I'm sure they can be made to fit. Buddy of mine just put 22's on a Maxima.

I've never heard of anything larger than 20" wheels on an LS. I know the 20's have problems with rubbing, even 19's have those problems. There aren't many cars that have the LS offset. I know most Jags have it and possibly Volvos. 5x108 is the offset you are looking for. Good luck.

They probably are using bad offset or their rims are too wide or tires are too big. My rims are 20"x8.5" on Pirelli 235/45 ZR 20 tires.

Hey, I have 20 x 8.5 with a 245/35/20 tire and get no rubbing whatsoever even with a car load full of people. You can make ANY size rim fit on ANY car with the right amount of modification, the problem is....is finding 22 inch rims with that correct bolt pattern. THe only cars with a 5 x108 bolt pattern are LS's, Continental's, Taurus/Sable, Cougar, S and X Type Jags. Rim companies know that not many people are putting big rims on the majority of these vehicles. So can it be done??? Yes, but good luck finding 22's with that bolt pattern. And...they will jack the car up, stick to 20's....they look nice and there is no modification whatsoever.

Re: will 22 inch rims fit on a 00-02 lincoln ls??

I have 20" deep dish rims and they dont rub on the fenders at all, and Im a big boy and most of my passengers weigh 240lbs and up, we are all big boys never had a problem. If you go to car domains website under lincoln ls you will find a couple guys that have 22" rims on their ls's maybe you can ask them a few questions, the black ls with black 22" looks like its lowered as well, its on the first page when you get on the ls part of the site. I wouldnt go so big but if it fits good go for it!
