Rust on Rotors

[SIZE=6]How can I get rust of my rotors and is there some type of rotors out there that do not rust at all?

Also, could I apply something on the brakes to keep them from rusting?

Re: Rust on Rotors

First of all rust is normal. You are dealing with cast iron, in most cases and it will rust if exposed to the elements such as rain or snow. There is no way you can keep this from happening unless you spend a fortune on carbon fiber racing rotors that cost about $10k per set. Do not apply anything to the rotor surface or the pads as this will ruin the pads. This is just something you will need to learn to live with.
