Help with new rims.

TO make a long story short my 98 sl rims are screwed up and i have to get new ones. I was thinking about putting Enkei Arashi's on it but i think it might look goofy heres a pic.

http://www.enkei.com/PerfSpecPAGES/arashiSpecs.html

Do you think those would look good or bad? Feel free to give me some other options also thanks guys.

Re: Help with new rims.

They definately look unique. I'm a fan of the BBS wishbone type rims or the 5 Zigen fN01R-C in gunmetal for both, what color car do you have? That greatly affects my opinion on wheel choice.

Re: Help with new rims.

If its a red car scratch the darker 5 spoke designes like the 5 zigen FN01R-Cs, on a lighter colored car (especially red) I like lighter wheels, maybe even chrome, so the ones you have picked out should look good if you want to go by my taste. When it comes to chrome rims and lighter colored wheels I actually realy like the stock 5 spoke ones like I have (pictured below), but the colors I like are green, black, and grey, grey being my favorite which is too bad because its wicked rare and only came on the first gens I believe.

I need some rims too 3kgt98 . But i have no knowledge of rims. What brands should i be looking at? I dont want to spend a ridiculous amount of money on rims. I currently have 17's. Anyone have any suggestions? My car is being repainted Zurich White Pearl Metallic. I think i might go for some gunmetal rims.

Re: Help with new rims.

If your looking int gunmetal check out the FN01R-C line, heres what they look like on my favorite colored car. Ignore the stealth lol, I kingd of stole a guy's sig pic from 3SI. I think it looks awsome on a first gen grey.

Re: Help with new rims.

I personally hate rims that have a "dirrection" to them, the one side is going forward and the other is backwards. EWWW

You know...I have a red vr4 and those gunmetal 5zigens are what I want...but I know what you are talking about with it not looking the best...but screw it. When I finally have the money for the rims...maybe I'll have the money for a new paintjob (silver is now what I'm thinking)

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

Re: Help with new rims.

The gunmetal 5 Zigens are real popular it seems since they look awsome on any 3000GT, I just think they look extra special on the grey, black, green, blue, and burgendy in decending order of looks. Also might want to look into the Enkei RPM2, they look allmost as good as some of my favorite BBS wheels but at a fraction of the price. And here they are along with specs.
