Help

My car has me loosing it. I got the car from a friend of the family. He told me that the Tranny was bad. Well I swapped out the tranny and it isn't pulling right. When you put the car under load(in gear) it wants to stall out and you can put the gas to the floor and it will be as though you are only lightly touching the gas. It will move forward and run through all the gears it jus doesn't rev right when in gear. When in park or neutral it runs perfectly. This is a 79 camaro, engine is a 305 and has a TH350 behind it. Any help will be "Greatly" appreciated.

Eric

Re: Help

my dad has a 305 in his 86 chevy blazer also backed by a 350 turbo tranny, his his is all new and it shifts from 1 to 2 around 30 mph, 3 around 45 or 50. really isnt good for a stock 305, is this the way yours is shifting, if so its normal.

Re: Help

no, when put in gear i kinda struggles to keep running and you can put it to the floor and it will take bout 10 seconds for it to get to 10 or 20 mph. its like driving with really really bad plugs.

Re: Help
