Question Cat. Converter?

This one is driving me crazy, the car is accelerating like crap, and I think the gas/exhaust smells kind of funny (the gas is still the gas that was in the car when I got it.) But the air filter is wet with gas, so I was thinking it might be the cat. Converter is plugged? Just wondered if anyone else had any ideas. The fuel filter, and air filter are new
