Re: backup lights not working

Hey there young fella, do you have auto or man trans, the neutral saftey switch on the side of the transmision sends the signal to the reverse lights, if both don't work, prob it. Download NSS rebuild,http://www.lunghd.com/Downloads_and_Links/Downloads.htm

Stick the key in the ignition, turn the key to the on position. Don't start the engine, just turn the key to the on position. Push and hold your foot on the brake pedal in order to move the shifter into the various detents. You might also want to set the emergency break. As you move the shifter slowly through park, reverse, neutral, then drive and slowly back again. Have someone watch behind the vehicle to see if by chance the reverse back up lights might flicker or turn on. If they do come on then it could very well be a linkage adjustment.
