Brake upgrade

I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on what would be a good upgrade for the brakes on a 2000 gtp with 4 wheel disks? I just bought the car and don't really care for the feel. It has new brakes on it (stock). I just feel they need more foot pressure to stop then I am use to. I have a line on dual-piston LS1 calipers, brackets, bracket bolts, lines, 12" rotors, pads) that will fit on a Pontiac Grand Prix SE/GT/GTP 97-03 with (usually) no more modification for around 200.00. I'm tempted to get them. Any ideas? Thanks

And remember I'm only PREshopping, I do not have the car yet. Maybe this comming summer I will get it, with luck. Will be first car as well, I have the will power but maybe not the money.

My idea is to buy the car, park it and work on it like a hobby for a year plus, then when it's fixxed up I'll drive it.

You can add just the front 12in brakes and you would need the GM Brackets from the Oldsmobile Intrigue.They will help but since you are still using the single piston calipers they wount stop much better then stock.The best way to go is with the 12in rotors and the 98 up F-body aluminum dual-piston calipers, they will really increase the stopping power of our cars.Click Here for instructions
