If they are the big like 2.5L strokers, then they are an expensive idea

I was talking with crower and they have a stroker kit for 5gs that ups the displacement to a 2.5L (sleeved). As far as power gains you can expect 40+ at the wheels. The good part is high boost is welcomed, safely. Crower says 40+ psi is possible. But i would use no where near that much unless you have a full blown dragster.

The down side?

$4200

But can you imagine having a Prelude putting 230HP at the wheels all motor, and then dropping a turbo at 20psi? Ofcourse your gonna need alot of cash for all the other add ons. (ECU and such)

If they are the ones that you have to weld a spacer to your block yo raise the head like an inch, I would highly recommend you find someone who has done work like this a few times....there was a writeup in scc or turbo magazine about the kit....I would do some major research

i dont think the crower kit requires any welding of the block. I didnt know doing something like that was even posible.

it is the strangest thing I have seen...I will try to find the magazine. They did it to make a 2.5 h22 stroker. they had to extend the block like an inch...there was a weld all the way around the block. if I find it I will post the info

230? thats just from the stroker kit right? because with this special kit, and the rest of the good stuff...you can probably produce somewhere around 250 right? man o man. thats trouble. that is just trouble...

did some researching, it may not have been a 2.5l kit, but a 2.7l kit. I was going to check it out, but the website was down

what octane would you have to run for that much displacement? i doubt pump gas would push that beast.
