2000 F150 Help!

Got a 2000 F150 with a 5.4L with the following codes:

P1443: Manufacturer Control Auxiliary Emission Controls

P0457: EVAP Emission Control System Leak Cap Loose/Off

Truck also has a skip like a coil pack issue, but no codes saying a misfire on any cylinder. I thought the P0457 might have been a bad gas cap so I replaced it and that did not work.

Any helpful information would be greatly appreicated!
Going to work on it now.......

Re: 2000 F150 Help!

How many miles do you have on the truck? Youre emission waranty runs longer than the bumper to bumper and some of the emission control parts are covered under this waranty. You might want the dealership to chek it out, because if it is an emmision problem that goes un repaired it could cost you more in the long run.The dealership can put it on there machine for around $70 to see what the problem could be.I had to take my e-150 to the shop today for a service engine soon light and that is what it cost me to find out that I needed to replace the fuel filter.
