Question receiver of the remote key

Does anyone know where is the receiver ckt. of the remote key located in 95 Ford Windstar? I put in a new set of battery in my remote key but still does not work on my car. I'm sure the remote key is working because the signal is being detected by the rf detector at our shop.

Re: receiver of the remote key

You have to reprogram the remote itsef. Refer to owners manual, as it details how to do this. In a nutshell:

close all doors. put key in ignition.
turn it to on (not crank) position where all warning lights on cluster light up.
turn key back to position "0" (position to take key out)
do the key rotation as above 8 times within 10 secs.
Locks will cycle automatically, within next 5 secs, press any button on the remote.
locks will cycle again to confirm programming
press any button on any other remote that you have.
locks will cycle again to confirm programming

Re: Re: receiver of the remote key

Thanks for your reply. I was able to activate my remote key last night by momentarily shorting (with the key in on position) the two pins of the program connector located at the back of the glove comparment (thanks to "tasteph"). I finally managed to have the remote key working after the third try. - jhannanzki
