i have an electricity problem need help

alright i just bought a 98 tiburon man i love it but when i turn on the lights it seems like it dosent have enough power when it idles i dont know if my alternator isnt working or what not but if im at idle and my lights are on and i turn on like heat my lights dim and it feels like the car is goign to die but it never does is there somethign wrong with my alternator or the idle speed ??????????????
