Question problems with fuel pump

I have a 1996 plymouth neon SOHC, I recently replaced the Throttle Position Sensor in it. And I tried starting it, but it wont start my friend looked at it, and told me that my fuel pump went out. How do I go about fixing this problem. Would it be better go to a salvage yard or going to an auto parts store? Also should I replace my gas tank while I am at it?
Thank you

First make sure the fuel pump is bad. Check all the wiring, relays and fuses first. After that then replace the fuel pump. Some say its easier to replace the entire tank with the fuel pump... I did it without replacing the tank.... but it just depends on how much time you want to take and money... becausde buying a tank will be a bit more expensive than a fuel pump.

Cool

thank you.
Hope I can fix this problem before it snows any worse out here. Time to buy a car cover. I hate it, I just moved to Chicago from Birmingham, alabama 3 months ago.

Well at least you have a recent car for it. My neon did quite well in the snow actually. Yeah but its not a hard fix, put it up on jackstands and you shoudl be able to get it done in 10 minutes.
