95 Jetta manual window crank removal

Have door latch problem, the window crank handle is a puzzle. No set screws or spring clips visible....need advice with removal before I break the crank off. Any additional scerets in door panel removal would be great too....Thanks abunch

Yeah, Get a chiltons guide. But all you have to do is pinch the ring around the arm and it slides only one way off. Presto.

Here is a little more detail: You must squeeze the ring between the crank and the door panel -- if you use straight pliers, put them at 90 degrees to the crank. After squeezing, slide the crank and ring about one centimeter in the direction that is in line with the crank but away from the knob. Now pull the crank and ring away from door panel. The part that you are squeezing and that keeps the crank on is too difficult to describe in words, but once you see it you will understand how it works.
