Re: hybrid d16?

there isn't a d16 dohc vtec head, only a B16 vtec - and they are completely different motors - can't swap parts.

Re: hybrid d16?

oh - that's better - he he, I've heard it's been done, but all the head bolts are in different spots between the sohc and the dohc, so you'd have to do a lot of work to get it to swap over. It'd be easier to just buy the zc bottom end too. he he - Actually I have a zc block and crank if anybody is interested in it.

Re: hybrid d16?

4G4D Store - Hey I am interested in that zc block. How much do you think you would want for it. The d16a1 block that i have is cracked but the head is still in good condition.

Re: hybrid d16?

well, I haven't really thought of a price - since it doesn't have any pistons, rods or oil pan, I don't even know what it's worth - make me an offer. I don't know how much shipping will be either.

Re: hybrid d16?

also worth mentioning about the DOHC head on the SOHC block: the oil passages don't match up right on the intake side of the motor.
